Hi,

i was thinking about uol, yahoo and some others big companys, about the way they handdle spam...

basicly it is like a boxtrapper where when one mail arrives it goes to the folder and one mail is sent to the sender to verify if he is a human or a mchine but boxtrapper as it is today has failed due to what can happen the way it works.

But what if there is an improvement where it will just send an e-mail with a page where the person has to access and validate it by filling the image code to allow that message to be received ?

Once that message was validated a small piece of the body wich identify the e-mail will be store and that single e-mail wont be bother for the confirmation until it sends a new e-mail.

Aswell with a anti-spam such as the one pariote made the setup instruction in here that will bypass most of the e-mails confirmed as true.

I see lots of hole in this still but would this be an option ? big providers do use it ... what are their magic tongue.gif besides the millions...

Fighting spam using boxtrapper is not recommended at all. Senders usually are faked. Sending verification email to innocent persons means you are spamming them too. Some providers consider you as a spammer.
