If I was to install ASSP Deluxe, ASSP X or such method would I still need to do the Server-Wide Spam Protection method at http://www.rvskin.com/index.php?page=public/antispam ?

Is it one or the other or do they both need to be done together?

Regarding assp deluxe , the answer is no ; you should follow only this http://www.grscripts.com/howto130.html

uses another way to protect , it does not use assp . Assp deluxe are a set of scripts to install assp on a cpanel server.
