Hi,

I updated to cpanel 11 and the scripts were working fine.

However I've now updated to the latest build (11.6.0-RELEASE_15032) and got an email that the exim configuration is not compatible with the new release.
It's still working at the moment, however I think for future updates I'd like to get it right.

Any hints what parts of the exim config I need to delete/edit?
I definitely like all the features of this config.

I know that you don't support cpanel 11 (yet?), however I hope you can give me some hints. Or somebody else who's already made the update.

Thanks,
Jonas

Here's the email from cpanel:

cPanel was unable to automatically merge your Exim configuration with the new settings that shipped
with the build you have installed (11.6.0-RELEASE_15032) because you have a custom ACL configuration
which cannot be automatically configured. To avoid any mail downtime, we thought it was best to leave
your previous configuration intact until the new configuration can be properly installed. In order to
complete this configuration update, you will need to manually merge your configuration with the new
configuration settings. Please follow the steps below to complete this update:

1. Enter WHM at https://XXXX
2. Enter the Exim Configuration Editor:
(Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Editor)
3. Notate any custom changes you have made, you may also which to make a copy of
/etc/exim.conf.local
and /etc/exim.conf.localopts as these contain your custom settings.
4. Click the 'Reset Config to Defaults' button.
5. Reinstall your advanced custom settings.

Note: Until you manually complete this update, automatic spam filtering has been rendered inoperable to
prevent any mail loss.

The previous configuration doesn't bring down the exim after upgrading to v11 but there is the duplicate ACLs and cannot use per-domain SA. I just have a working set of EXIM ACL for cPanel11. Not have time to update the tutorial yet. However, you can request us configure or update your previous configuration by order at https://member.rvskin.com/index.php?page=product/extra. I don't try to make money for this work, I just don't have time to explain all detail now.

Thanks Pairote.
I configured my server myself following your excellent tutorial, didn't use your precious time.

Totally understand that this isn't a priority for you. Guess I'll just wait until you update the tutorial.

And, again, Thanks for sharing that knowledge with us, works perfectly well. Spam protection almost as effective as Googlemail smile.gif
One thing - you could employ SPF (as module for Spamassasin) in the future. Think SPF is worth implementing by now. Perl modules for that exist.
