Total web novice so sitebuilder did me proud to build my first site. Happy enough although needs cosmetic work and jazzing up.

My big issue is - when one of the menu options (or hyperlinks) are clicked they turn yellow. Almost impossible to read when turned yellow. How to I change this colour change? It seems to be the only option that is nowhere to be found and it's really annoying me.

Spent ages on the online support but the guy there gave me nothing...

To fix this you will need to edit a file called STYLE.CSS that is in the folder where the site is located.

Edit the file and look for something that has the word 'a:visited', there is where the color for visited links is.

Know little about HTML etc so editing that sort of stuff is a minefield for me. That was simpler than I thought.

Changing the links in the style.css file is easy enough but is there a place I can make the changes on sitebuilder. I may be missing it but I can't find it. It's frustrating to have to change the style.css every time I publish. I somethine make updates 6 to 7 times a day and every time I have to go back into the published style.css and change the colors again. How can I make the unpublished site have the right colors, or how can I keep the style.css from being overwritten each time I publish?

There is no such feature yet. I moved this topic to the suggestion forum so I can keep track on it.

If your CSS is always the same, you can change CHMOD to 444 instead of 644, that way the CSS will not be changed.

Sergio, That worked great. I hadn't thought about something so simple. Also I would have assumed that it would cause an error when I tried to publish and sitebuilder couldn't overwrite the file.
