1) In the admin section of Sitebuilder there should be the ability for admin to change the username manually to one of the users choice and send confirmation to the users email address.
2) The admin should be able to create a demo user automatically for the Tryout System without needing to enter address details or dummy data. This should be a single button click with the ability to change the username and password. A url should be auto shown on the screen so the tryout front page links can be created (i.e. use this url: yourdemo.yourdomain.com:2082/login/?user=demo&pass=demo)
3) The user should be able to enter a single word (i.e. demo) instead of their full email address in order to login. This should be quite easy to code - anything before the @ symbol in their email address is their login name. Then they can either use their email address or just the first part of their email address in the username field.
4) On my site I am a reseller and do not want the user to enter my cpanel. So the ability to block access to the cpanel in the Tryout Demo would be great. This could be replaced with a few images instead to illustrate what the Cpanel system looks like. Alternatively, a wholly seperate CPanel demo could be used with all icons disabled other than RVSitebuilder, so hackers cannot do any damage.
5) There needs to be more detailed instructions of setting up the Tryout demo. Currently it is difficult to grasp the details of precisely what should be coded into the front page. Information like where the html code is stored in the database would be useful and so would example urls to use in order to configure the front page.
For example:
I designed a banner which can be used within the hosting website and also the sitebuilder front page. The idea is the user would click the banner to be taken to the demo (hence leveraging off the hosting site traffic and using it as a promotion tool to bring in customer). But once the sitebuilder demo subdomain is launched, I then have a simple series of graphics to show people how simple it is to design a site. Then a click here button to take them into the sitebuilder system.
The problem I have is knowing what urls to attach to the button so they arrive at the sitebuilder (not the WHM or the CPanel). It woudl be useful if there was a help system or auto-generated demo url.
5) The interface for the sitebuilder should be skinnable - if it is then I apologise but it is not imediately apparent. I know you can change configuration of various pages using the CSS but it still does not look like the rest of my website. Maybe a templating system can be implemented so the Sitebuilder GUI can be customised quickly and easily.
(By the way, I am not being critical here - this is a great application with lots of potential - just some things are missing which would make it far superior and more user friendly).
