Full Version: Is someone actually running this company?

I have actually been using rvs for a few years because it was so easy to use, but with the last "upgrades" it has actually become less user friendly. I have also found that the majority of answers on here are irrelevant because they are so out of date. It doesn't appear that anyone from the company ever goes through these questions to give us answers.

for example...this is from the faq's:

How to move my website edited by another tool?
I am really sorry, you cannot import website created by other application. You need to redo it in RVSiteBuilder. It is not too hard if you know HTML. Just copy and paste the HTML code inside <body>...</body> and fix the image path.

It sounds easy and like it should work, but it doesn't for me. No matter what program I use...frontpage, sharepoint, dreamweaver, basic html pad...when I paste the code into html (since you can no longer paste into source) it looks semi correct in the wysiwyg, but when i preview or publish it reformats everything.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Is there a way to copy and paste html from an external source and have it work?
Why can't you copy and paste rvs' own pages from one to another?

Is my program just screwed up, or is anyone else having this problem?

I don't expect rvs people to read this, so if any user knows the answer, please let me know.

It's a little unclear what you're asking.

Are you trying to create a template from scratch? Or just insert HTML that you are editing in a separate application (like Microsoft Expression or Dreamweaver). There's a difference between copying content intended to go between <body></body> and trying to copy over overall design elements.

With more information, other developers (including myself) may be able to point you in the right direction.
