Full Version: Why does "Compiling Dynamic Data" NEVER complete?

My server is hosted by a company that chose RVSitebBuilder for WYSIWYG editing, as an option. I've sold several websites
and have people there editing their own websites if they feel able.

Now it has been "upgraded" to the new version, and I CAN"T Publish the site. All I get is a spinner on the line saying "Compiling Dynamic Data" I've waited hours for it to complete, but it never does. dry.gif

So what is this "upgrade being done for? The old system always worked for me, and is the major reason I could sign up new website customers. If this kind of issue can't be resolved I'll need to find a different WYSIWG system that ACTUALLY WORKS. sad.gif

Hi Pairote
I updated Rvsitebuilder Pro to the version 4.23, but when trying to pre-visualize the project is still stopped in "Compiling dynamic data"

Is there any solution for this bug?

Best Regards

It is in fact not stop but quiet slow and do not any progress display on the screen. On next Monday, we will distribute the optimized compiler for dynamic data. It is a lot faster and we will provide the compiling progress in the next week.

I meant to get back to say that the upgrade fixed this problem, though it had been delayed somewhat by some hardware problem on my server, which wasn't RVs fault.

Since then though I'm trying to find out how to put in alt= and title= for images and <a> tags, since that helps blind people find menu buttons and some idea what is in graphics files that they can't see.

Apparently the ONLY way to get them into any of my sites is to put them in with an online editor after EACH time I put i a change using RVSitebuilder to ANY file in the website. This is important since
handicapped accessibility is legally required in the USA where all of my websites are. So can this be built into RVSitebuilder soon, for the good of all?

Alt and title arguments can be added on the image tag on the image dialog. Right click on the image and go to image properties. There is an text field for 'screen tip'. Both alt and title tag with this value.
