I got you to install your server wide spam assassin on my server, and it works great, but when I tail -f /var/log/maillog, I get the error message:

Its obviously a permission problem. Can you tell me how to fix it?

That error comes from the checksrvd that try to check spamd whether it is running. The errors pop up since SA v3.10. Nothing to worry about it. You may report it to cPanel bugzilla.
